NPI (New Product Introduction) Engineer

Role Overview:

  • The NPI Engineer is responsible for the successful introduction of new products into the production process.
  • They work closely with design, engineering, and production teams to ensure that new products are manufactured efficiently and meet all quality and cost requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Development Support:
  • Collaborate with design and R&D teams during the product development phase to ensure designs are manufacturable.
  • Provide feedback on potential manufacturing challenges and suggest design modifications.

Process Development:

  • Develop and implement new manufacturing processes or modify existing ones to accommodate new products.
  • Work on process validation and testing to ensure that the new processes meet production standards.

Pilot Production:

  • Lead pilot production runs to test the manufacturability of new products.
  • Analyze pilot run results and make necessary adjustments to processes before full-scale production.

Documentation and Training:

  • Create detailed process documentation, work instructions, and training materials for production teams.
  • Train production staff on new processes and procedures related to the new product.

Cost Analysis:

  • Conduct cost analysis to ensure that the new product can be produced within budget.
  • Identify potential cost-saving opportunities in the production of the new product.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, quality, procurement, and production, to ensure a smooth transition from development to full-scale production.
  • Coordinate with suppliers for the procurement of new materials or components needed for the new product.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to RM4,000.00 per month
