Job Title: Bowling Technician

Department: Bowling Operations

Reporting To: Operations Manager / Branch Manager

Location: Mutiara Damansara

Job Summary:

Responsible for ensuring all bowling equipment, lanes, pinsetters, scoring systems, and related machinery are maintained in excellent working condition. The technician will perform regular preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to ensure smooth daily operations and a safe, enjoyable experience for all customers.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Equipment Maintenance & Repair

• Perform routine inspection, cleaning, and preventive maintenance of bowling pinsetters, ball returns, and scoring systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues promptly.
• Repair and replace faulty parts or components to minimize downtime.
• Maintain oiling machines and ensure proper lane conditioning schedules are followed.

2. Lane Maintenance

• Conduct daily lane checks before opening to ensure smooth lane operation.
• Perform regular oiling, stripping, and resurfacing according to schedule.
• Ensure the lane machine (e.g., Kegel, HVO) is calibrated and functioning properly.

3. Safety & Compliance

• Adhere to all safety procedures and ensure a hazard-free environment.
• Report any unsafe equipment or conditions immediately to management.

4. Inventory & Documentation

• Monitor stock levels of spare parts, tools, and consumables.
• Maintain accurate service logs and maintenance reports.
• Assist in preparing maintenance-related documentation for audits or inspections.

5. Support Operations

• Provide technical assistance during tournaments or events.
• Support the operations team in resolving technical issues that affect customer experience.

Requirements:

• Diploma/Certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronic Engineering (or equivalent).
• Minimum 1 year of experience in maintenance or technical repair (experience in bowling machinery is an advantage).
• Knowledge of AMF/Brunswick or equivalent bowling systems preferred.
• Hands-on skills in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
• Able to work on shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
• Responsible, detail-oriented, and proactive in problem-solving.

Working Hours:

• Shift-based, including weekends and public holidays.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM1, RM2,500.00 per month
