Key Responsibilities

1. Logistics Operations

  • Coordinate daily inbound and outbound shipments, including import/export arrangements, customs clearance, and transport scheduling.
  • Prepare and process customs forms such as K1, K2, K3, and K8 in compliance with Malaysian customs and free zone requirements.
  • Liaise with freight forwarders, couriers, and transporters to monitor shipment progress and ensure timely delivery.
  • Resolve delivery issues, shipment discrepancies, and coordinate corrective actions with relevant teams.
  • Prepare shipping documentation including packing lists, invoices, and airway bills accurately and promptly.

2. Inventory & Material Movement

  • Work closely with warehouse and production teams to support smooth material flow and maintain accurate stock records.
  • Assist in inventory counts, stock reconciliation, and ensure goods are properly labeled and stored.
  • Coordinate material transfers between free zone and customs area according to company and regulatory guidelines.

3. Documentation & Compliance

  • Maintain proper filing of logistics and shipping documents for audit and traceability purposes.
  • Ensure full compliance with customs, MITI, and internal company procedures.
  • Keep updated on changes in customs regulations, tariff codes, and free zone policies.

4. Cost & Performance Tracking

  • Support in tracking logistics expenses and highlight cost variances to the supervisor.
  • Record and report key logistics KPIs such as on-time delivery and shipment accuracy.
  • Suggest ideas for improving logistics processes and reducing inefficiencies.

Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 4–5 year's experience in logistics, shipping, or customs documentation (experience in an EMS or manufacturing environment preferred).
  • Knowledge of import/export procedures and customs forms (K1–K8) is a must.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (SAP or equivalent).
  • Conversational English and good written communication skills required.
  • Hands-on, organized, and able to work under minimal supervision.
