Job Summary

As an Electrical Estimator, you will be responsible for reviewing project documentation and preparing accurate cost estimates for electrical works. This includes assessing labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor inputs, and developing competitive bids aligned with client and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze drawings, specifications, and commercial terms to prepare detailed estimates.
  • Source and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
  • Prepare and submit comprehensive proposals and bids.
  • Identify cost risks and opportunities, incorporating contingencies.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of estimates and assumptions.
  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to confirm scope.
  • Deliver clear and compliant cost reports aligned with company and industry standards.

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience in electrical estimating within Utilities, Industrial, Mining, or Transport sectors (Tier 1 or 2 contractor background preferred).
  • Skilled in estimating software and digital take-off tools.
  • Strong commercial insight with attention to detail.
  • Experience with HV and Control Systems is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
