Job Title: Receiving Clerk
Job Summary:
The Receiving Clerk is responsible for checking, recording, and organizing all incoming deliveries to ensure accuracy and quality. This role involves verifying shipment details, inspecting goods for damage, maintaining records, and coordinating with suppliers and store departments to ensure smooth inventory flow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and verify all incoming goods against delivery notes or purchase orders.
- Check product quantity, quality, and condition upon arrival.
- Record and update received items in the inventory system.
- Report any shortages, damages, or discrepancies to the supervisor or purchasing department.
- Label and organize products for storage or transfer to departments.
- Maintain cleanliness and order in the receiving area.
- Assist with stock rotation and proper handling of perishable goods.
- Coordinate with delivery drivers, suppliers, and internal staff to ensure timely deliveries.
- Follow company policies and safety standards during all receiving activities.
Requirements:
- Basic knowledge of inventory systems and documentation.
- Good attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Physically fit and able to lift moderate weights.
- Team player with good communication skills.
