Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, review, and improve individualized education programs (IEPs) to meet the needs of students.
  • Ensure that teaching plans align with current best practices, educational standards, and the unique needs of students with disabilities.
  • Develop and implement school-wide policies, curricula, and activities that promote inclusivity.
  • Mentor and support special needs educators, therapists, and teaching assistants.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
  • Facilitate professional development opportunities, including workshops, seminars, and certifications.
  • Assist teachers in addressing challenging behaviors or modifying lesson plans.
  • Guide teachers in implementing behavior intervention plans (BIPs).
  • Assist in managing challenging behaviors, ensuring the safety and well-being of all students and staff.
  • Respond promptly to emergencies and maintain clear protocols for crises.
  • Foster an environment that supports acceptance and inclusion within the school and broader community.
  • Organize awareness campaigns, events, or workshops that highlight the abilities and achievements of individuals with special needs.

Qualifications:

1)Strong understanding of special education, teaching methods, and behavioral interventions.

2)Have a bachelors Degree in Education/Psychology/Special Education

3)Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills to inspire and manage a multidisciplinary team.

4)Ability to assess and address the diverse needs of students with various disabilities.

5)Effective communication skills to build strong relationships with families and external stakeholders.

6)Problem-solving skills to handle complex situations and implement proactive solutions.
