About the role

MCC20 DEVELOPMENT & CONSTRUCTION (M) SDN BHD' is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team in Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur. As a key member of our Construction business, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial aspects of our projects and ensuring the successful delivery of our construction initiatives.

What you'll be doing

  • Prepare accurate cost estimates and budgets for construction projects
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers and subcontractors
  • Monitor and control project costs throughout the construction process
  • Provide financial reporting and analysis to project managers and senior leadership
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement measures to optimise project profitability
  • Collaborate with the project team to ensure seamless coordination and timely completion of projects
  • Assist in the preparation of tender documents and bid submissions
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards
  • Visit and travel to different construction site to understand actual situation

What we're looking for

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
  • Minimum 8 years of post-qualification experience in a similar role, preferably in the construction industry
  • Strong understanding of construction materials, pricing, and industry trends
  • Proficient in using quantity surveying software and construction management tools
  • Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Familiarity with local construction regulations and industry best practices
  • Prefer mandarin speaker as needed to deal with all china subcon and maincon
