Primary Functions:

  • Lead and manage the production test team to ensure the development, implementation, and optimization of automated test processes. Drive improvements in efficiency, throughput, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness, while ensuring compliance with quality standards and customer requirements.

Duties/Job Responsibilities:

  1. Lead, manage, and mentor the production test engineering team, including Test Engineers and Technicians.
  2. Oversee the design, development, implementation, and optimization of Automated Test Equipment (ATE) systems for production.
  3. Ensure test processes are scalable, robust, and aligned with product and production requirements.
  4. Define and drive test strategy, roadmaps, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance test coverage, throughput, and yield.
  5. Provide technical guidance and support for complex MMIC/RFIC test setups and troubleshooting in high-volume production.
  6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Process Engineering, Product Engineering Production, Product Design, QA, Reliability, FA, Production Planning) to resolve issues and optimize test processes.
  7. Monitor and analyze key test metrics (yield, cycle time, downtime, cost) and implement corrective/preventive actions.
  8. Establish and maintain test documentation, specifications, procedures, and compliance with industry standards.
  9. Manage resource allocation, project priorities, and budgets within the test engineering function.
  10. Serve as primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on production test matters.
  11. Lead structured problem-solving, root cause analysis, and corrective action methodologies for test-related issues.
  12. Perform other related managerial responsibilities as assigned by the management

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronic, Computer Engineering, or equivalent field in Engineering/Applied Science.
  • Minimum 7–10 years of relevant working experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership/managerial role
  • Strong knowledge of Automated Test Equipment (ATE) systems, hardware/software integration, and production test methodologies.
  • Familiar with test instruments such as Network Analyzer, RF Signal Generator, Spectrum Analyzer, and Multimeter.
  • Solid understanding of DC and RF testing methodologies for MMIC/RFIC products.
  • Proven leadership, people management, and team development skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to influence across multiple levels of the organization.
