Salt is currently hiring a SAP APO(pp/ds) Consultant, for a client of ours in Malaysia. The specific candidate would need to be flexible in travelling to Shanghai/Melbourne.

Main skills/characteristics:

to sites.

The SAP APO Support consultant is responsible for providing support and maintenance services for the SAP APO modules (SNP, PPDS, GATP) within the SAP S/4 RISE implementation of our client. This role requires the individual to work closely with business stakeholders and HQ technical teams to ensure seamless integration of the SAP and tightly integrated systems to efficiently support the supply chain planning and optimization operations. Prior to go-live, the support consultant will participate in the fit/gap workshops to receive knowledge of the kernel solutions and support the process owners and key users in providing business requirements and highlighting the gaps between existing legacy systems/processes and the new SAP kernel solution.

Main Task

Design & Implementation phase


• Attend and provide inputs during Fit-Gap analysis, UAT and all other project discussions along

with key users and process owner;


• Support Key User to understand kernel processes (SAP template);


• Support Key Users to identify impact of SAP adoption on existing business processes;


• Support project team in end-users' profiles mapping; ensuring all key users gain access to the new

SAP systems with the right level of access


• Manage local systems / interfaces and ensure local applications continues to work seamlessly after SAP implementation

Data Management


• Coordinate/manage the data extraction from legacy systems;


• Assist key users in data cleansing, mapping and preparation of master and transactional data for

migration;


• Assist key users in data validation activities ensuring high quality of data is prepared for migration testing

Testing & Training


• Support Key Users during UAT testing and EUT training


• Execute Regression testing to ensure existing business is not impacted by the change


• Support the setup of printers, scanners and other peripherals used by the operations ensuring

connectivity to the SAP systems;

Stakeholder Communication


• Participate in communication plans, stakeholder reviews, and readiness checks.


• Guide and work collaboratively with the Key Users effectively;


• Participate in project status meeting;

Go-Live & Post-Go-Live Support


• As key contacts for key users post go-live support


• Assist in Production Migration and stabilization.


• Handle and resolve tickets related to APO, supply chain and planning, ensuring timely

resolution of incidents and service requests.


• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for recurring issues.

Required Skills & Experience


• 5+ years of hands-on experience in SAP APO support and maintenance activities.


• Strong knowledge of SNP, PPDS, and GATP processes.


• Experience in SAP S/4 HANA or RISE is an advantage.


• Familiarity with CIF, planning books, and optimization techniques.


• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
