About the role

This full-time position in Ayer Itam, Penang offers you the opportunity to provide compassionate care and support to new mothers and their babies. As a Nurse Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the wellbeing and comfort of our clients during their confinement period.

What you'll be doing

  1. Assisting registered nurses in providing comprehensive care to postpartum mothers and newborns
  2. Monitoring the health and progress of mothers and infants, and reporting any concerns to the nursing staff
  3. Helping with daily tasks such as bathing, feeding, and soothing babies
  4. Maintaining a clean and hygienic environment in the confinement centre
  5. Providing emotional support and guidance to new mothers as they adjust to life with a newborn
  6. Collaborating with the nursing team to ensure the highest standards of patient care

What we're looking for

  1. Previous experience as a nurse assistant or caregiver, preferably in a healthcare or childcare setting
  2. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with clients and their families
  3. Compassionate and empathetic nature with a genuine desire to support new mothers and babies
  4. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions and protocols
  5. Flexibility to work in a 24-hour care environment, including shifts and weekends
  6. Certification or training in nursing assistance or related healthcare field is preferred
