Key Task & Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the client, the Project Manager and Project Control Manager for the overall Tool Installation schedule and major milestones.
  • Organize and lead the Daily Construction Coordination Meeting with Area coordinators and subcontractors Project Manager to ensure all issues are resolved timely and all milestones achieved on time.
  • Will have overall responsibility for the successful planning, execution, monitoring, control and closure of a project. They must have a combination of skills including an ability to ask penetrating questions, detect unstated assumptions and resolve conflicts, as well as more general management skills.
  • To establish, monitor and update all Project plans, budgets, programmes and resources requirements
  • Oversee and lead the overall Construction program that include materials procurement and delivery, coordination with design team, construction pre-fac, milestones completion on time, lead safety walks and promoting of IFW culture on site, lead and enforces quality installation for all construction works.
  • Lead and arrangement of duties for Area Coordinators and Construction Coordinators.
  • Work closely with client dock manager for overall coordination of move in move out activities.
  • Work closely with Project Control Manager and Commercial team to ensure project are within budget and maximizing of profit margin.
  • Oversee change request, identification and development of SOW for additions to original contractual scope.
  • Ensure that site execution is following the approved construction method statements and risk assessments are being checked.
  • Attend client's construction related meeting as needed.
  • The CM will ensure that the area and construction coordinators follow the project EHS requirement and implement the supervision of EHS requirement for all work carried out on site. All unsafe activities or behaviour will be stopped immediately.
  • The CM will lead weekly safety walks together with the Safety Manager during the project duration and report to project manager.
  • Ensure that the quality program such as inspection and testing, material incoming inspection, compliance with approved submittal, sample and mock up for the work on site are being carried out properly. QAQC walk down and testing records are being properly filled, signed and filed.
  • Reviews forecasts look ahead schedule with area coordinators to ensure that work contractors are planning the work in the right sequence and direction.
  • Plan, monitor and control the overall construction schedule to ensure that the installation work is progressing as per overall schedule. Check and ensure that the progress claim matches with the actual site progress.
  • Prepare and report out weekly milestones completion status and overall progress of the project to the project manager and/or the client.

Key Competencies:

  • Bachelor Degree in an Engineering or Diploma on Construction Building Services discipline would be advantageous.
  • With atleast years of professional project & construction management experience on fast track projects such as date centre, pharmaceutical, semiconductor plant construction projects.
  • Knowledge of Project Management, preferably PMI certified PMP.
  • Engineer should be experienced in the use of MS Office software, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
