Our client is seeking a Cost Control Manager (Hicom-Glenmarie Shah Alam) to join their team

What you'll be doing?
  • Lead Cost Control: Oversee cost control and reporting functions for all operating plants, ensuring data integrity and alignment between systems.
  • Develop Dashboards: Create and maintain Power BI dashboards for real-time monitoring of costs, budgets, and cash flow.
  • Manage Cash Flow: Oversee cash flow planning, budget utilization, and purchase order management to ensure financial efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with Finance and Plant Operations to ensure cost efficiency and timely reporting.
  • Conduct Analysis: Perform variance analysis, identify cost-saving opportunities, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Provide Insights: Deliver insights and reports to management for strategic decision-making.
  • Ensure Compliance: Guarantee compliance with internal cost control policies and financial reporting standards.
Who are they looking for?
  • Educational Background: A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Analytics, or related field.
  • Experience Required: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in cost control, cost accounting, or financial analysis, preferably in manufacturing.
  • System Knowledge: Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (ERP) is preferred.
  • Excel Proficiency: Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and simulation.
  • Power BI Skills: Good Power BI skills for data visualization and presentation are a plus.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with plant and cross-functional teams.
  • Language Proficiency: Proficiency in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin is required for serving Mandarin-speaking customers.
  • Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel to other locations as required.
