Job Summary:

The Head of Fashion Designer leads the fashion design team in developing seasonal collections that align with the brand's creative direction and market trends. This role involves overseeing the entire design process from concept to production, ensuring quality, consistency, and innovation across all designs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design team in conceptualizing, developing, and executing new fashion collections.
  • Plan seasonal design directions in line with the brand's vision, identity, and target market.
  • Oversee fabric sourcing, trims selection, and sample development with suppliers and the production team.
  • Review and approve final designs, samples, and fittings before production.
  • Monitor fashion trends, consumer behavior, and competitor movements to ensure brand relevance.
  • Work closely with the marketing and merchandising teams to align design concepts with campaigns and launch timelines.
  • Manage the team's workflow, set deadlines, and ensure timely completion of design deliverables.
  • Mentor, train, and provide creative guidance to junior and assistant designers.
  • Ensure product quality, practicality, and cost efficiency throughout the design process.
  • Represent the design department during management meetings and decision-making sessions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Fashion Design, Textile, or related field.
  • Minimum 5–7 years of experience in fashion design, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong sense of fashion aesthetics, fabric knowledge, and garment construction.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and time management skills.
  • Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or other fashion design software.
  • Creative, detail-oriented, and passionate about modest fashion and current trends.
