Are you an analytical and detail-oriented engineer with a passion for precision, cost efficiency, and continuous improvement?

MIR VALVE is looking for a Technical Costing Engineer to join our dynamic technical team and contribute to the success of our high-quality valve manufacturing operations for the oil & gas industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare new product costings based on customer enquiries and technical specifications.
  • Support cost tracking and analysis activities to ensure project costs remain within approved budgets.
  • Gather, monitor, and evaluate cost data for quotations, pricing, and cost studies.
  • Maintain accurate inventory valuation and track purchase price changes.
  • Develop and update a comprehensive costing database for materials, subcontracting, and consumables.
  • Work collaboratively with Supply Chain, Sales & Marketing, and other departments to enhance process efficiency.
  • Prepare and submit accurate cost reports and KPI summaries to management.
  • Ensure strict confidentiality of company costing information and adherence to QA/QC and HS&E standards.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in the oil & gas industry, preferably with valve product knowledge.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access).
  • Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • A team player who is self-motivated and eager to learn.
