Role Summary

The
Senior Executive, Finance
plays a vital role in managing the company's end-to-end financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance, and financial insights that support informed business decisions. Reporting directly to the
Finance Manager
, this role is responsible for overseeing daily accounting activities, preparing financial statements, conducting reconciliations, and assisting in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.

Responsibilities

Success in this position is demonstrated by:

  • Accurate and Timely Reporting:
    Delivering precise monthly, quarterly, and annual financial and management reports within deadlines.
  • Operational Excellence:
    Ensuring all financial operations—including accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger—are managed efficiently with zero audit or reconciliation discrepancies.
  • Analytical Insight:
    Providing clear financial analysis and variance reports that help management make strategic business decisions.
  • Compliance and Governance:
    Meeting all statutory, tax, and audit requirements promptly while maintaining a high level of integrity and accuracy.
  • Collaboration and Independence:
    Working effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders (auditors, tax agents, bankers), while operating independently with minimal supervision.

Qualification and Requirements

Academic Qualifications:

  • Minimum
    Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or an equivalent experience.

Work Experience:

  • More than 5 years of corporate finance or accounting experience
    , preferably in a small to mid sized organization.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Proficient in
    Microsoft Office Suite
    (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia
    (written and spoken).
  • Strong
    analytical and problem-solving skills
    with attention to detail.
  • Excellent
    interpersonal and communication skills
    to engage with management, clients, and vendors.
  • Able to work independently
    under tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy and integrity.
  • Knowledge of SAP Accounting System
    is an added advantage.
  • Must be a
    Sarawakian
    . Currently based or willing to relocate in Kuala Lumpur.
