Are you a detail-oriented, highly organized professional with a passion for procurement and team leadership?

We are looking for a junior procurement leader with 6–8 years of experience who can lead and inspire a team, work seamlessly with counterparts, and elevate procurement operations to the next level—all while protecting and supporting their team.

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing procurement activities, ensuring the timely and cost-effective supply of materials, and managing supplier relationships. You will lead a small team and play a critical role in driving collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and operational excellence across our procurement function.

What you'll do:

As the procurement manager / junior leader, you will lead end-to-end procurement operations, from sourcing and negotiation to supplier management and material planning. Your responsibilities include:

  • Lead and manage the procurement team in Malaysia and China, driving collaboration, mentoring, and performance improvement.
  • Develop and implement proactive procurement strategies to secure high-quality, cost-effective suppliers and contracts
  • Oversee supplier performance, ensuring compliance with quality, delivery, and cost standards; recommend corrective actions where necessary.
  • Manage the full procurement cycle, including sourcing, negotiation, purchase orders, delivery tracking, and inventory management.
  • Ensure sufficient material supply to support operations and sales while optimizing inventory levels to avoid overstock.
  • Liaise with internal departments such as marketing, planning, and operations to provide accurate materials information, lead times, and cost insights.
  • Handle material returns, replacements, and warranty claims in coordination with suppliers.
  • Use data analysis and cost modelling to align procurement strategies with business objectives and financial goals.

Requirements:

  • 6–8 years of proven experience in procurement, preferably in semiconductor or related industries.
  • Hands-on knowledge of procurement processes, supply chain management, and supplier negotiation.
  • Demonstrated experience managing and leading a small team (at least 3 direct reports).
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide, mentor, and develop team members.
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
  • Collaborative team player who can work effectively with internal stakeholders and international suppliers.
  • Proficient in mandarin, English, and Malay (spoken and written).
  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or related field.
  • Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines while maintaining high standards.
