Job Summary:

The Audit cum Accounting Executive is responsible for managing daily accounting operations and assisting in internal audit activities to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulations, and strong internal control within the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Accounting Duties:
  • Handle daily accounting transactions including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and general ledger (GL).

Audit Duties:

  • Conduct periodic internal audits to assess compliance with company procedures and financial controls.
  • Review financial documents for accuracy and completeness.
  • Identify weaknesses, risks, and areas for improvement in internal processes.
  • Prepare audit reports and present findings to management.
  • Support external auditors during annual audits by preparing required documentation.
  • Recommend corrective and preventive actions to improve operational efficiency.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and monitor company cash flow.
  • Process invoices, journal entries, and payment vouchers accurately.
  • Maintain organized records and proper filing of accounting documents.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis.
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and relevant government authorities.
  • Ensure all accounting activities comply with MFRS / IFRS and company policies.

Required skills and qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Knowledge of accounting software (e.g., AutoCount, SQL, QuickBooks).
  • Strong understanding of accounting and auditing principles (MFRS / IFRS).
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information responsibly and work independently.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: RM4, RM5,000.00 per month

Education:

  • Bachelor's (Preferred)

Experience:

  • auditing and accounting: 8 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • driving licence (Preferred)
