Job Summary:

Our Client, a well-established Bank in Malaysia is seeking a Compliance professional for the organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring Compliance functions for the bank.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance functions for the bank entities in the country meet all legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Support the Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) in updating and implementing policies and procedures in response to regulatory changes and Group policies.
  • Assist the CCO in achieving departmental objectives and strategic goals.
  • Conduct periodic testing and controls on key risk areas to identify emerging risks and necessary controls.
  • Help monitor and ensure timely resolution of audit findings related to the business from regulators and Internal Governance.
  • Identify new applicable regulations, communicate updates to stakeholders, and perform gap analyses and follow-up on action plans if needed.
  • Support the CCO in delivering relevant compliance training sessions.
  • Provide assistance in broader compliance responsibilities, including Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Financial Security, and Sanctions, as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Tertiary education in a related field.
  • Relevant experience in a similar role (Compliance/Regulatory/Governance)
  • Understanding and knowledge of corporate banking business is desirable.
