Key Responsibilities:


•Lead the overall planning, implementation, and successful completion of the railway infrastructure project within the specified timeline and budget.


•Provide strategic direction and guidance to project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure project objectives are achieved in accordance with quality standards and contractual requirements.


•Utilize extensive project management knowledge and experience to effectively manage large-scale projects, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.


•Demonstrate expertise in railway project management, including familiarity with railway systems, technologies, and regulatory requirements.


•Possess a comprehensive understanding of contracts and contract administration, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and managing contract-related risks effectively.


•Develop and maintain effective communication channels with key stakeholders, including government agencies, project partners, and local communities, to ensure transparency and alignment of project objectives.


•Manage project risks and issues proactively, implementing mitigation strategies as necessary to minimize project delays and cost overruns.


•Monitor project progress and performance metrics, providing regular updates and reports to senior management and stakeholders.


•Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary project team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.


•Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, safety standards, and environmental requirements throughout the project lifecycle.


•Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation in project management processes and practices.

Qualifications and Experience:


•Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.


•Minimum of 20 years of experience in project management, with a proven track record of successfully managing large-scale infrastructure projects, particularly in the railway sector.


•Extensive experience in railway project management, including planning, design, construction, and commissioning phases.


•Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.


•Demonstrated experience in contract management and administration, with the ability to interpret and negotiate contracts effectively.


•Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.


•Familiarity with Malaysian regulatory requirements and standards related to railway infrastructure projects is preferred.


•Professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent are desirable.
