Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in Ipoh for a Gel Coat / Back Fill (Encapsulation) Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for overseeing and managing gel coating and backfill (encapsulation) processes to ensure quality and efficiency. Day-to-day tasks include supervising production operations, troubleshooting issues, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards, providing recommendations for process improvements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve production goals.

Qualifications

  • Strong technical skills in gel coating and backfill (encapsulation) processes, as well as process control and optimization
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting, problem-solving, and quality control
  • Knowledge of material properties, production equipment, and manufacturing safety standards
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage time effectively, and adapt to a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field preferred
  • Experience in semiconductor or manufacturing industries is an advantage
  • Strong communication and technical writing skills are beneficial
