Sensitive Product Manager, APAC

The purpose of this position is to lead and develop CMA CGM's defense-related business across the APAC region. The incumbent will be responsible for coordinating communication and training, facilitating current operations, and driving business development initiatives. Acting as a strategic entry and escalation point, the role ensures effective engagement with regulatory bodies, local authorities, and internal stakeholders, while building commercial pipelines, defining budgets and pricing strategies, and equipping local teams to manage military logistics efficiently.

Job Descriptions:

  1. Communication /Training

  2. This role requires experience and defense background to conduct training

  3. Internal communication among working parties

  4. Entry point to engage CMA CGM defense management with authority required

  5. Facilitate the current business

  6. Engage with the regulatory bodies to facilitate the current business ie MYPKG/SGSIN

  7. Introduce to the local authorities
  8. Smoothen the process gaps

  9. Coordinate with other regions' internal and external business leaders as a regional entry point

  10. Business Development

  11. Analyze/identify and develop the defense market (private and govt) in all APAC countries

  12. Develop a pipeline to target per country and brand
  13. Budget definition and performance monitoring
  14. Establish regional entry points to develop the business
  15. Establish regional entry point (internal & external)
  16. Escalation point as tower to steer the business needs
  17. Educate/set up the local teams to handle the military business
  18. Commercial strategy of the product : sales & marketing supports, pricing definition
  19. Monthly reporting to ARO & HO

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in the shipping industry.
  • Strong background in risk management, project management, or similar functions.
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
  • Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex issues in a clear, business-focused manner.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a results-driven and customer-oriented mindset.
  • Able to perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-exposure environment.
  • Graduate of a Business School or Military Academy.
  • Proficient in English (both written and spoken).
  • Willing to travel across the APAC region (approximately 1 week per month) with frequent visits to the ARO office in Singapore.
