Summary

We're looking for a Junior ZDLRA Administrator to support and maintain Oracle Recovery Appliance environments. You'll assist senior engineers in managing database backups, validating restores, and monitoring appliance performance. This role is ideal for fresh graduates who want to build a career in database backup, recovery, and enterprise infrastructure management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in daily monitoring and operation of Oracle ZDLRA systems.
  • Support integration of Oracle databases with RMAN backup workflows.
  • Help validate and test database backups and recovery scenarios.
  • Learn to troubleshoot common backup or restore issues.
  • Assist in applying system updates, patches, and maintenance tasks.
  • Monitor appliance performance, capacity usage, and health status.
  • Document operational tasks, backup procedures, and recovery plans.
  • Support the automation of simple reports or monitoring scripts.
  • Work closely with DBAs and senior engineers during recovery or maintenance activities.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Basic understanding of databases, backup concepts, and Linux systems.
  • Interest in Oracle Database and data protection technologies.
  • Good analytical thinking and attention to detail.
  • Eager to learn scripting (Bash/Python) and backup tools.
  • Able to work in a team and assist during maintenance or on-call support.

Added Advantage

  • Exposure to Oracle RMAN or database administration during studies/internship.
  • Basic scripting knowledge (Bash, Python, or Ansible).
  • Understanding of data recovery, storage, or networking fundamentals.
  • Oracle training or certification (OCA/OCP) is a plus.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresh graduate

Pay: RM3, RM5,000.00 per month
