Why does this job exist and why is it critical?​

You will design and optimize data pipelines, transform insights in BigQuery, and deliver impactful dashboards in Power BI—driving smarter decisions through automation and collaboration.

What are you accountable for?

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable ETL pipelines to ingest data from various sources into Google BigQuery, ensuring data quality and efficiency.

  • Develop and optimise complex SQL queries in Google BigQuery for data transformation, aggregation, and analysis to support business requirements.

  • Create, deploy, and manage interactive and insightful BI reports and dashboards using PowerBI, including crafting DAX measures for complex calculations.

  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand their data requirements, translating them into technical specifications and actionable insights.

  • Develop and implement data models that support BI initiatives and ensure data consistency and accuracy for reporting purposes.

  • Utilise Python for scripting, automation of data processes, and integration tasks to enhance the data engineering workflow.

  • Perform data validation, cleansing, and troubleshooting to ensure the accuracy and reliability of data presented in BI reports.

  • Monitor and optimise the performance of data pipelines and BI solutions, identifying and resolving issues to ensure timely data delivery.

What do you require for this role?

  • You have minimum 5 years of work experience

  • Minimum Bachelor Degree in Information Technology or similar.

  • Experience building scalable ETL pipelines and working with Google BigQuery.

  • Strong SQL skills for data transformation and analysis.

  • Proficient in Power BI, including DAX for complex calculations.

  • Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.

  • Skilled in developing data models for accurate reporting.

  • Proficient in Python for scripting and automation.

  • Strong data validation and troubleshooting abilities.

  • Capable of optimizing data pipelines and BI performance.
