Job Description

Teaching & Learning
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging mathematics lessons in accordance with the Cambridge Primary Mathematics curriculum.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs, interests, and abilities of all students.
  • Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
  • Integrate Islamic values, ethics, and examples into lessons where appropriate.
  • Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students in line with school and Cambridge assessment guidelines.
  • Prepare students for Cambridge Primary Checkpoint exams.
Classroom & Student Management
  • Establish a positive, orderly, and safe classroom environment conducive to learning and character development.
  • Manage classroom behavior in line with the school's discipline policies.
  • Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students and provide feedback to parents and school management.
Curriculum & Resource Development
  • Participate in the development, review, and continuous improvement of the mathematics curriculum.
  • Select and develop appropriate teaching resources and materials in accordance with the syllabus.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes and updates to the Cambridge curriculum.
Pastoral & Islamic Integration
  • Serve as a positive role model for students in behavior, dress, and Islamic conduct.
  • Incorporate moral and ethical discussions, aligned with Islamic teachings, into classroom activities.
  • Support the spiritual, social, and emotional well-being of students.
Communication & Reporting
  • Maintain regular communication with parents regarding students' academic performance and behavior.
  • Submit timely and accurate student reports, records, and other documentation as required.
Professional Development
  • Engage in continuous professional learning and attend training programs, workshops, and Cambridge curriculum updates.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in sharing best practices and improving teaching standards.
  • To adhere to all rules and instructions issued periodically by the school administration and academic team
Co-curricular Activities
  • Actively participate in school events, activities, and enrichment programs.
  • Lead or assist in extra-curricular clubs, debate teams, or language-focused activities.
  • Organize and participate in ECA / CCA activities.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field (Postgraduate qualifications are an advantage).
  • Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in IGCSE Mathematics.
  • Strong knowledge of the Cambridge IGCSE syllabus and assessment criteria.
  • Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
  • Passionate about teaching and committed to student success.
  • Familiarity with digital teaching tools and online platforms is a plus.
