About the role

We are seeking a talented and experienced Assistant Planning Manager or Planning Manager to join the dynamic team at Wong Engineering Corporation Bhd in our Kulim, Kedah office. In this full-time position, you will play a pivotal role in optimising our production planning and inventory management processes to drive operational efficiency.

What you'll be doing

  • Able to lead the planning team to drive CI in planning with production to ensure shipment delivery is on track
  • Develop and implement effective production planning strategies to meet customer demands and optimize resource utilisation
  • Analyse sales forecasts, inventory levels, and production capacity to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with the manufacturing, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure seamless coordination of production activities
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators to measure the effectiveness of planning processes
  • Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs
  • Provide training and support to the planning team to develop their skills and capabilities

What we're looking for

  • Degree or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a planning or production management role, preferably in the manufacturing industry
  • Proven track record of successfully implementing production planning strategies and driving operational improvements
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to support decision-making
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
