POSITION :MARKETING EXECUTIVE (SCHEDULE WASTE MANAGEMENT)
Location: Penang, KL, Selangor, Johor, Terengganu, Pahang
A marketing executive for scheduled waste is responsible for driving business development and sales for a company. This specialized role focuses on creating compliant, sustainable, and effective waste management solutions for corporate clients.
Core responsibilities
i. Sales and client acquisition: Identify and secure new business opportunities by targeting companies that produce scheduled waste, such as those in the manufacturing, chemical, or automotive industries. This includes reaching out to potential customers and following up on new leads from field activities.
ii. Marketing and promotion: Develop and execute sales and marketing strategies to promote the company's scheduled waste management services, highlighting its capabilities, licensed status, and adherence to regulations.
iii. Customer relationship management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing clients to ensure high satisfaction and secure repeat business. Resolve customer inquiries and service problems by clarifying issues and explaining effective solutions.
iv. Regulatory compliance and expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert on scheduled waste management regulations, particularly those enforced by the Department of Environment (DOE) in Malaysia. This includes staying updated on the Environmental Quality (Scheduled Wastes) Regulations 2005.
v. Reporting and documentation: Assist clients with the administrative and reporting requirements related to waste disposal, including using systems like the Electronic Scheduled Waste Information System (e-SWIS) for reporting to the DOE.
vi. Site assessments and consultations: Visit client sites to understand their waste generation processes and provide expert advice on waste segregation, storage, handling, and disposal in compliance with all legal requirements.
vii. Interdepartmental coordination: Collaborate with internal departments like operations to ensure the seamless execution of waste collection and disposal services.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
Educational background: A diploma or degree in marketing, business, environmental science, or a related field is typically required.
Industry experience: 1–3 years of experience in sales and marketing is often preferred, with experience in the waste management sector being a major advantage.
Communication skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for building client relationships and explaining complex regulations.
Regulatory knowledge: A strong understanding of the Environmental Quality (Scheduled Wastes) Regulations 2005 is essential for guiding clients and maintaining compliance are advantages
Sales drive: A results-driven professional with a knack for identifying new business opportunities and meeting sales targets.
Problem-solving abilities: The capacity to address customer concerns and resolve logistical problems efficiently.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM2, RM3,500.00 per month
