Key Responsibilities

  • Administer, configure, and optimize middleware platforms including JBoss and Oracle WebLogic
  • Manage and support messaging systems such as IBM MQ and Apache Kafka, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security
  • Perform installation, configuration, patching, and performance tuning for enterprise databases including Oracle and MySQL
  • Develop and maintain Unix shell scripts for system automation, monitoring, and application deployments
  • Support SQL development and optimization, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in data queries
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues across middleware, messaging, and database layers
  • Work closely with development, infrastructure, and application support teams to deliver end-to-end solutions
  • Participate in capacity planning, disaster recovery, and high availability designs
  • Ensure compliance with enterprise security, backup, and auditing policies

Required Skills

  • Experience in RHEL/Linux and Unix administration
  • Knowledge of JBoss and WebLogic server management
  • Hands-on expertise with IBM MQ and Apache Kafka configuration and support
  • Experience with Oracle Database administration including PL/SQL, backups, and tuning
  • Knowledge of MySQL database management
  • Proficiency in Unix shell scripting (ksh, bash, Perl, or PowerShell)
  • Strong understanding of SQL queries, stored procedures, and performance optimization
  • Good problem-solving skills in production support environments

Job Type: Contract

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: Up to RM10,000.00 per month
