The Physiotherapist (Mid-Level) is responsible for independently managing patient cases and delivering high-quality physiotherapy services, while supporting the clinical team in daily operations. This role involves assessing, planning, and implementing treatment programs, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring patient satisfaction and safety. The Physiotherapist will work closely with senior practitioners and management to maintain clinical excellence and service standards.

Clinical Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and formulate evidence-based treatment plans.
  • Deliver physiotherapy interventions including manual therapy, exercise prescription, electrotherapy, and rehabilitation programs.
  • Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as required.
  • Manage a varied caseload with minimal supervision.
  • Ensure patient care is delivered safely, effectively, and ethically in accordance with professional standards.

Team Collaboration & Support

  • Work collaboratively with other physiotherapists, healthcare professionals, and administrative staff to ensure smooth clinic operations.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior physiotherapists, assistants, or interns when necessary.
  • Participate in team case discussions and contribute to clinical decision-making.

Patient Education & Communication

  • Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, posture, and injury prevention.
  • Provide clear explanations of treatment goals and expected outcomes.
  • Foster a caring, professional, and respectful environment for patients.

Operational & Professional Development

  • Assist in developing and improving treatment protocols and clinical processes.
  • Participate in workshops, in-service training, and continuous professional development (CPD) activities.
  • Support outreach, wellness, or corporate health programs when assigned.
  • Maintain clinical documentation and reports according to clinic policies and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

Education & Certification

  • Bachelor's Degree in Physiotherapy from a recognized institution.
  • Registered with the Malaysian Physiotherapy Association (MPA) or equivalent professional body.

Experience

  • Minimum 4-6 years of clinical experience in physiotherapy practice.
  • Experience in musculoskeletal, sports injury, neurological, or post-surgical rehabilitation preferred.
