Job Description:

  • To handle or assist in handling all matter relating to real estate conveyancing that the firm undertakes such as preparing SPA for development projects, security documentations for banking facilities/ loan as well as incidental matters until completion.
  • To provide legal advice/opinion in respect of the business operation to ensure maximum protection and to maintain business operation within the limits prescribed by law.
  • To draft, review, vet and negotiate on the commercial/legal issues for the related agreement and to analyze contract on legal/commercial risks and provide timely advice to mitigate any risks.
  • Conduct work with integrity and responsibility, maintaining high levels of confidentiality.
  • Liaise with external parties, including relevant authorities and external solicitors.
  • Preparation of defense in respect of tribunal claims.
  • Perform other duties as delegated by the Management.

Job Requirement:

  • Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma or Professional Degree in Law, legal or equivalent from reputable educational institutions.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a legal advisory role, with a proven track record of effectively managing legal matters in business environment, specifically related to real estate.
  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, particularly those within the real estate industry, such as the Housing Development Act (HDA) and the Companies Act.
  • Ability in drafting/vetting agreements and write legal opinion.
  • Proficient in both spoken and written in Bahasa Malaysia, English and Mandarin. We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
  • Possess goof interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
