Job Summary:

The QA Lead will be responsible for leading the Quality Assurance (QA) function across Borong's digital platforms and internal systems. This role involves developing test strategies, managing QA processes, and guiding a team of testers and engineers to ensure that our products meet the highest standards of quality and performance.

Key Accountabilities:

  1. QA Strategy and Planning

  2. Develop and implement a comprehensive QA strategy, framework, and roadmap for all Borong products and platforms.

  3. Define quality metrics, testing standards, and performance benchmarks to ensure product excellence.

  4. Plan and oversee testing activities across multiple product lines, including web, mobile, and backend systems.

  5. Test Management and Execution

  6. Design, manage, and execute manual and automated test cases based on product requirements and acceptance criteria.

  7. Ensure full test coverage across functional, regression, performance, and security testing.

  8. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to schedule and manage test cycles for new releases.

  9. Leadership and Team Development

  10. Lead, mentor, and guide the QA team in best practices and technical growth.

  11. Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement within the QA function.

  12. Conduct regular performance reviews and identify training or development opportunities for team members.

  13. Collaboration with Stakeholders

  14. Work closely with Product Managers, Developers, and Designers to understand project scope, requirements, and potential risks.

  15. Collaborate with Engineering teams to integrate testing early in the development process (shift-left approach).

  16. Provide clear QA feedback and risk assessments during sprint reviews and product release

  17. Process and Continuous Improvement

  18. Identify opportunities to optimize QA workflows, testing environments, and automation coverage.

  19. Maintain and improve test documentation, standards, and reporting mechanisms.

  20. Stay current with emerging QA tools, technologies, and industry best practices.

  21. Automation and Tooling

  22. Oversee the design and maintenance of automated testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, or Appium).

  23. Ensure integration of automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for consistent regression testing.
  24. Evaluate and recommend new tools to improve efficiency and test coverage.

Position Specification:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5–7 years of QA experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership or senior QA role.
  • Experience in eCommerce, logistics, or SaaS environments is a strong advantage.
  • Working knowledge of API testing, database validation (SQL), and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and QA best practices.
  • Proven experience in manual and automated testing for web and mobile applications.
  • Solid grasp of testing tools such as Katalon, Postman, Selenium, JMeter, Appium, Cypress, Jenkins, or similar.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities in a dynamic environment.
