About the role

My Animal Clinic & Surgery Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a dedicated Veterinary Assistant to join our team in Melaka. As a Veterinary Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our veterinary professionals and ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic. This is a full-time position, offering the opportunity to work alongside our experienced team and contribute to the wellbeing of the animals under our care.

What you'll be doing

1. Assisting veterinarians with examinations, treatments, and minor procedures
2. Preparing examination rooms and maintaining a clean, organised work environment
3. Handling and restraining animals during procedures, as directed by the veterinarian
4. Collecting and processing samples for laboratory testing
5. Providing compassionate care and attention to all animals under our supervision
6. Maintaining accurate patient records and inventory of medical supplies
7. Answering client inquiries and providing information about the care and treatment of their pets

What we're looking for

1. Previous experience as a Veterinary Assistant or in a similar animal care role
2. Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with both clients and veterinary staff
3. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions precisely
4. Compassion and a genuine interest in the wellbeing of animals
5. Flexibility to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
6. Good physical fitness and the ability to handle and restrain animals as needed
