Job Responsibilities
- Serve as Secretary for the HSE Committee and chair meetings when required.
- Ensure compliance with the latest DOSH and NIOSH requirements, with proper documentation.
- Plan, implement, and promote HSE programs and activities to maintain a safe work environment.
- Lead hazard identification, risk assessment, and environmental impact evaluation.
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments, especially for high-risk activities.
- Review HSE reports from customers or department heads and take necessary action.
- Participate in HSE meetings with clients or authorities and report updates to site management.
- Provide recommendations to improve workplace safety, health, and welfare.
- Conduct HSE training sessions and ensure proper use of PPE by all employees.
- Manage PPE requisitions, inventory, and distribution.
- Conduct and document daily safety briefings for site workers.
- Enforce compliance with safety rules, including vehicle and site safety policies.
- Oversee waste management and ensure proper housekeeping at the worksite.
- Review job hazard analyses and take corrective measures where needed.
- Work with HR on safety-related disciplinary matters.
- Collaborate with site supervisors to ensure consistent safety compliance.
Requirements
- Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health or equivalent qualification.
- Registered Green Book holder (DOSH-certified Safety & Health Officer).
- Minimum 5 years of relevant HSE experience.
- Strong analytical, leadership, and planning skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and committed to continuous improvement.
- Decisive and calm under pressure, especially during emergencies.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM6, RM7,500.00 per month
