Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Finance Analyst to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in driving financial performance, supporting strategic decision-making, and ensuring the integrity of financial reporting. This position is ideal for professionals who have a strong analytical mindset, hands-on financial management experience, and the ability to lead process improvements across the finance function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation and analysis of financial reports, statements, and forecasts to support strategic business decisions.
  • Oversee month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely completion.
  • Conduct variance analysis, identifying key financial drivers, trends, and areas for improvement.
  • Manage the budgeting and forecasting process, providing financial insights and recommendations to management.
  • Review and enhance financial data accuracy through reconciliations and detailed analytical reviews.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations and reports for management and executive review.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal departments to provide financial guidance and support business initiatives.
  • Oversee client payment schedules, Statements of Accounts (SOA), and ensure accurate, timely collections and disbursements.
  • Review and approve employee expense claims and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Lead the preparation of Project Profit & Loss (P&L) reports, analyze margins, and propose strategies to improve profitability.
  • Conduct financial planning and forecasting to estimate fund availability and cash flow needs for upcoming periods.
  • Identify, recommend, and implement finance process improvements to enhance efficiency and data accuracy.
  • Support ad-hoc financial projects, including system enhancements, audits, and business analysis initiatives.
  • Mentor junior finance team members, providing guidance and knowledge-sharing to support team growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; professional certification (CPA, ACCA, CFA) is an advantage.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, or financial planning & analysis (FP&A) roles.
  • Strong expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and data analysis.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with financial systems
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM3, RM3,500.00 per month
