Sales Engineer

Key Responsibilities:


• Identify and develop new business opportunities within target industries (e.g., Oil & Gas, Palm Oil, Marine, Power Generation, General Industries) in Bintulu and surrounding regions.


• Manage and expand relationships with existing clients, understanding their needs and ensuring customer satisfaction.


• Present and explain complex technical product information, solutions, and services to prospective and existing customers.


• Collaborate closely with the engineering and technical teams to provide tailored solutions and technical sales support.


• Prepare detailed technical proposals, quotations, and tender submissions, negotiating terms and conditions to meet both client and company needs.


• Conduct product demonstrations and technical presentations to showcase how our solutions meet client requirements.


• Provide pre-sales technical assistance and product education, as well as after-sales support and technical backup as required.


• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify new opportunities and inform sales strategies.


• Achieve agreed-upon sales targets and contribute to the overall revenue growth of the company.


• Maintain accurate sales records, customer data, and sales reports using CRM tools.


• Represent HY Energy Services Sdn Bhd at industry events, trade shows, and conferences as needed.

Requirements:


• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical, Chemical, or a related technical field).


• Minimum of 2-3 years of proven sales experience, preferably in a technical sales or sales engineering role within the industrial, oil & gas, marine, or palm oil sectors.


• Strong technical aptitude and a solid understanding of fluid power systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and industrial components are highly advantageous.


• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Proficiency in local dialects (e.g., Iban, Melanau, Mandarin) is an added advantage.


• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.


• Results-oriented with a strong drive to meet and exceed sales targets.


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


• Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-centric mindset.


• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with CRM software is a plus.


• Possess a valid driving license and willingness to travel frequently within Bintulu and other parts of Sarawak for client visits and project sites.


• Candidates with experience in selling industrial hoses, fittings, valves, pumps, cylinders, or related engineering services will be highly regarded.
