Production Control Specialist

Your Tasks:

  • Develop and issue daily and weekly production schedules aligned with customer demand, material readiness, and capacity constraints.
  • Monitor work-in-progress (WIP) and ensure timely completion of production plans; initiate corrective actions for delays or deviations.
  • Track key performance metrics such as production yield, cycle time, and equipment utilization to optimize efficiency and reduce downtime.
  • Manage intralogistics by coordinating material movement between warehouse, staging areas, and production lines for seamless operations.
  • Implement Kanban replenishment flows and maintain accurate ERP/MES transactions for real-time inventory control and traceability.
  • Oversee FOUP/carrier management, re-cleaning cycles, and compliance with operational and quality standards.
  • Communicate production status, risks, and recovery plans to stakeholders; support line changeovers, maintenance schedules, and engineering runs.
  • Prepare and analyze production and material flow data to identify bottlenecks, propose process improvements, and drive cost optimization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Production, Engineering, Quality, Planning, and Logistics to ensure operational excellence.
  • Any other tasks as assigned.

Your Profile:

  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in production control within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP, shop floor operations, inventory control methods (FIFO), and planning techniques.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and ERP systems; fluent in English and Malay.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills; ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines.
  • Attention to detail, problem-solving capabilities, and a strong sense of accountability.
