About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Account Assistant to support our Finance team in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of basic accounting principles, strong organizational skills, and a proactive approach to meeting deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Payable:

  • Process supplier invoices and employee expense claims accurately and on time.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Prepare and schedule payments via check, EFT, or online banking.
  • Maintain AP aging reports and ensure timely settlement of payables.

Accounts Receivable:

  • Generate customer invoices and ensure timely collections.
  • Post receipts and reconcile AR balances.
  • Follow up with clients on overdue accounts and maintain collection records.
  • Prepare aging reports and assist in cash flow forecasting.

General Accounting Support:

  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records.
  • Support external and internal audit processes.
  • Perform other administrative and accounting tasks as required.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of experience in accounting, preferably in both AP and AR.
  • Strong Excel and data entry skills with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From RM2,400.00 per month
