Job Description

1.    Manage and perform all chemical analyses of received sample using techniques such as HPLC, ICP, GC, UV-Vis, FT-NIR, and titration.

2.    Interpret and document analytical data accurately and in a timely manner.

3.    Prepare detailed technical reports, including test results, protocols, and summaries.

4.    Assist in process for development, modification, verification and validation of methods.

5.    Responsible for maintaining quality control systems and documentation.

6.    Update QC sample result to QC charts.

7.    Conduct the maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability of results.

8.    Coordinate with external vendors for instrument repair and qualification as needed.

9.    Maintain laboratory supplies and inventory are adequately stocked and reordered as needed.

10.  Liaise with external vendors, suppliers, and stakeholders as needed.

11.  Provide technical guidance and mentorship to lab technician and interns.

12.  Assist in the preparation of regulatory submission documents as required.

13.  Ensure all laboratory activities comply with relevant health, safety, and regulatory guidelines.

14.  Investigate any non-conformance as required.

15.  Participate in internal and external audits as required to ensure compliance with industry standards.

16.  Collaborate with R&D teams to support any research projects and experiment.

17.  Carry out proper disposal of reagents and wastes.

18.  Stay updated on the latest industry standards, regulatory requirements, trends, technologies, and best practices.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Registered Chemist (recognized by the relevant professional board or authority).
• Minimum 2 years of laboratory experience, preferably in food or feed testing.
• Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Applied Chemistry, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of analytical techniques and instruments (e.g., ICP, HPLC, GC, UV-Vis, FT-NIR, etc.).
• Familiar with laboratory quality systems and documentation.
• Good analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently as well as in a team.
• Good communication and report-writing skills in Mandarin, English and Bahasa Malaysia.
