Assistant Finance Manager

Job Summary:

A public listed manufacturing company is looking for an Assistant Finance Manager with an audit background to join their exciting team.

About the role: 

You will be an analytical person in assisting the Financial Controller and Finance Manager to analyze company performance, review reports, be involved in financial analysis, create proposals during management meetings and etc.

What you'll do:
  • Provide support to the superiors in carrying out the responsibilities of the Finance Department, which included, but not limited to, general ledger accountability, financial reporting, as well as financial information analysis and other ad hoc projects assigned.
  • To review various journal entries and ensure completeness of monthly close procedures.
  • Assist in tracking and resolving outstanding payment issues and generate weekly customer statements in a timely manner.
  • Reconciles accruals/prepayment sub-ledger against General Ledger and ensuring compliance with established accounting practices.
  • Perform Bank Reconciliation.
  • Assist with month-end closing.
  • Assist in monitoring debtors' ageing and credit control functions.

     
What do you need to have to succeed in this role:
  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree or Professional Papers in Accountancy or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years experience in Finance role and background as an Auditor.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and MS Words.
  • Experience in using ERP (Epicor) and consolidation experience will be an added advantage.
