We're currently seeking a Data Analyst to join the Procurement organization in Huntsman KL office located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This is an ideal opportunity for an individual who is interested in joining a growing organization within the company and helping to establish the patterns and practices of the team. The role is integral in assisting to develop and supporting multiple departments in the company along the journey of data analytics, visualizations, robotics process automation, machine learning and more. This is a growth role on projects/matters of average complexity and closely managed.

This position will be based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

As a Procurement Data Analyst You Will
Apply knowledge of statistics, data visualization & modeling, machine learning and programming to recognize patterns, identify opportunities, test business hypotheses, and make valuable discoveries leading to operational savings or growth.

Design, build & deploy scalable, repeatable, and simple data solutions.

Assist with delivering informative and effective actionable insights, findings, results, and recommendations from statistical analysis to stakeholders, both technical and non-technical audiences.

Assist with translation of business objectives and priorities to help build a strategic analysis.

Develop presentations around insights that can be understood by a variety of audiences - strategic, tactical, operational; and across functions - commercial, operations, finance, etc.

Collaborate across teams to solve challenging, high-value analytical problems.

Provide data related training & support to Procurement teams.

Review existing data infrastructures (i.e. power BI reports, master data, hierarchies) system, process & reports; Propose, implement & deploy improvements

Know or learn about Procurement systems & processes

Partner with key business areas to translate insights into solutions that can be validated and implemented

What skills and experiences are we looking for?
Degree in business analytics, statistics, mathematics, computer science, or equivalent/related degree.

Very strong analytical and numerical skills

Experience with data visualization

Strong computer skills using Excel and PowerPoint

Critical view on data accuracy

0-8 years of related experience

A good understanding of data visualization tools and database interfaces.

Knowledge of statistics & willingness to learn new data technologies

Programming Experience Such As Dax/Python/Databricks Is Preferred
Knowledge of MS Power BI and SAP Webi

Knowledge and experience of SAP or ERP system

Knack for automation

Willingness to resolve issues and problems in a timely manner

Strong and open communication skills with team members and across diverse audiences
