National grant-funded project for MSc/PhD position with a Graduate Research Assistant scheme available in pharmacology research.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role at Universiti Kuala Lumpur Royal College of Medicine Perak, Ipoh. The student will be responsible for conducting research, analysing data, communicating findings, and participating in educational activities related to the MSc/PhD program.
During the tenure, the candidate is expected to enrol on one of the following programs:
Master of Medical Science
Doctor of Philosophy (Medical Sciences)
The research area is based on the following, but not limited to:
Ocular pharmacology, experimental ophthalmology, ocular neurodegeneration, diabetic complications
Requirements
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Strong interest in in-vivo research
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- A bachelor's degree in medicine, pharmacy, medical science, biomedical science, biomolecular science, biotechnology or other health-related field with a CGPA of more than 3.00 for the master's program
- A master's degree is required for enrolment into the PhD program
- Passed English proficiency test e.g. MUET, IELTS and TOEFL
- Experience in manuscript writing, handling rodents and molecular work (IF, PCR or WB) will be prioritised.
- Willing to work on-site at Ipoh and travel to other institutions at Klang Valley for research collaborations.
