Role Description

This is a contract on-site role for a Senior DB Administration (Oracle/MSSQL) located in WP, Kuala Lumpur. The Senior DB Administrator will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of database systems, ensuring optimal performance and security. Daily tasks include database tuning, backup and recovery, disaster recovery planning, and managing database access. The role requires close collaboration with developers and other IT staff to support existing and new systems.

Qualifications

  • Experience with Oracle and MSSQL database installation, configuration, and administration
  • Database tuning, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning skills
  • Knowledge of database security and access management
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Experience in performance monitoring and enhancement
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Oracle DBA, Microsoft SQL Server) are a plus
