Qualifications & experience

  • Candidates must possess Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related professional qualifications (MIA/ACCA/CPA/CIMA).
  • Minimum 2-4 years of working experience, genuinely interested to be involved in business operation and management
  • Proficiency with Accounting software and e-invoicing experience will be an added advantage.
  • Able to speak in English, Bahasa Melayu and Mandarin.
  • Experience in the manufacturing sector will be an added advantage.
  • Strong understanding of accounting standards, Companies Act 2016 and Income Tax Act.
  • Willing to travel for outstation assignments as required.
  • Creative and has critical thinking skills, detail-oriented, enjoys multi-tasking, self-motivated with 'hands-on, solutions-first' mindset.
  • Demonstrated key traits such as able to work independently, self-motivated, adaptable and resourceful

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Review full set of accounts including Account Payables, Account Receivables, General Ledger functions, yearly tax computation and bank reconciliation, monthly closing and reports.
  • Liaise with external auditors and tax agent to support annual audit process, ensuring timely completion and smooth audit process.
  • Assist Account Manager in reviewing group accounts and providing findings and solutions.
  • Review withholding tax, SST returns, and ensure statistic reports are submitted in a timely manner.
  • Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity for day-to-day operations.
  • Work closely with operations to prepare budget and financial analysis, to ensure tax compliance and manage costs efficiency.
  • Prepare monthly and annual management reports, analysis, forecasts and budgets.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.
  • Assist in implementing process improvements and internal controls.
  • Support ad-hoc projects and initiatives as assigned by management.
