Summary

We're hiring multiple junior Software Engineers to join our team. You'll work on real-world projects with a strong focus on backend development using Java, Kotlin, Spring, MySQL, AWS, etc.

As we continue to adopt AI across our engineering workflow, you'll get the opportunity to work with AI-powered tools like GitHub Copilot, Claude, and JetBrains IDEs.

About the job

• Develop, test, and maintain backend APIs, middleware and services (legacy and new projects).
• Implement unit tests, integration tests, and API tests where applicable to ensure system reliability and maintainability.
• Work with databases to design efficient data models and write optimised queries.
• Participate in code reviews, documentation, and version control using Git.
• Assist in integrating third-party APIs and external services.
• Troubleshoot and fix bugs, performance issues, and data inconsistencies.
• Collaborate with frontend, mobile, and QA teams to deliver high-quality software.
• Follow secure coding and best engineering practices.
• Learn and apply modern development tools, frameworks, and cloud technologies.

Skills & experience required

• 1–2 years of full-time working experience with Java (or Kotlin), Spring Boot, Spring Framework, and MySQL. Internship or part-time experience is not counted.
• Degree graduates in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar.
• Strong programming foundation, data structures, OOP and database design.
• Hands-on experience in backend development, REST API design, MySQL, and integration with third-party services.
• Quick learner with the ability to acquire new skills rapidly.
• Enjoys coding and building things from scratch.
• Open to working on both new and legacy projects.
• Familiar with Git and basic software development workflows.
• Ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Eager to learn, proactive, and enjoys solving problems.

Nice to have

• Experienced in building applications thatintegrate with LLM APIs like OpenAI, Claude, Llama, or similar.
• Hands-on experience with vibe coding(Codex, Claude Code, Gemini CLI) for rapid prototyping and building small features.
• Exposure to Linux environments, Docker, and cloud platforms like AWS.
