Senior Finance Manager

The role is responsible for leading and overseeing the full spectrum of financial management functions, ensuring strict compliance with Approved Accounting Standards, statutory requirements, and company policies. This includes financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, tax management, treasury operations, and internal control systems to support the organization's financial stability, profitability, and strategic growth.

• Financial Analysis & Reporting

• Accurately develop, analyze, and interpret financial information in accordance with Approved Accounting Standards to evaluate operating results, focusing on profitability, budget performance, and other key financial indicators.

• Oversee the accurate and timely preparation of financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements to support effective management decision-making.
• Present financial statements and disclosures in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

• Budgeting, Forecasting & Planning

• Develop and deliver the annual business plan.

• Oversee budget forecasting, cash flow management, and financial modeling to support business decisions and identify growth opportunities.
• Work closely with Group Treasury and Group Finance (MMC Group) to ensure optimal fund management and resource allocation.

• Taxation & Compliance

• Lead tax planning and ensure full compliance with all federal, state, and local tax regulations.

• Oversee accurate tax computations and liaise with tax agents to ensure timely submissions and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, reporting requirements, and all applicable accounting standards and laws, safeguarding the company's integrity and reputation.

• Treasury & Cash Flow Management

• Ensure sufficient funds are available for ongoing operational and project requirements.

• Forecast cash flow positions, monitor borrowing requirements, and ensure covenant compliance.
• Establish and maintain effective policies and procedures to ensure adequate control over treasury activities and functions.

• Governance, Controls & Audit

• Oversee management reporting and policy development within the department.

• Provide technical and analytical guidance to resolve issues within the department's functional scope.
• Ensure robust internal control and accounting systems are firmly established and operating effectively.
• Lead financial audits and liaise with external auditors to ensure compliance and accuracy.

• Leadership & Collaboration

• Lead, motivate, and develop the finance team to achieve high performance and continuous improvement.

• Collaborate closely with senior management to support strategic initiatives and business growth.
• Undertake other related duties as required or directed by superiors.

• Strong working knowledge of MFRS, taxation, compliance, and financial modeling.
• Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills with strong business acumen.
• Effective leadership skills, including team development, coaching, and performance management.
• Exceptional communication skills — able to present complex financial information clearly and concisely.
• Strong ethics, integrity, and commitment to confidentiality.

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Accountancy, Finance, Business Studies, or related fields.
• Professional certifications such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or ICAEW are highly advantageous.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, with proven leadership in a senior management role.
• Prior experience in the property industry or corporate environment, and prior audit experience, are added advantages.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial data effectively to senior management.
• Willingness to be based in Senai, Johor, and to travel as required.
