The School of Communication and Media Studies at Sunway University is offering the following programmes:

·       BA (Hons) in Communication

·       Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Advertising and Branding

·       Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Digital Media Communication

·       Master of Arts in Communication

·       Doctor of Philosophy in Communication (upcoming)

These programmes foster innovative thinkers with the expertise to explore, analyse, conceptualise, and communicate information and creative concepts. Our curriculum merges theoretical knowledge with practical applications, engaging students in practicums, industry projects, and cooperative learning initiatives. The programmes aim to cultivate graduates with a global perspective, emphasising creativity, critical thinking, entrepreneurial skills, and adaptable competencies across various mediums, media platforms, and environments.

We are looking for committed and qualified individuals to join the School as a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor.

Responsibilities:

·       Deliver high-quality teaching with creativity and innovation in classroom management.

·       Conduct scholarly activities, including conference presentations, journal/book publications, and grant applications.

·       Mentor and supervise student projects and dissertations.

·       Collaborate with industry partners to ensure curriculum relevance and foster practical community engagement.

·       Participate in administrative, marketing, and outreach activities as required.

·       Contribute to the development of new programmes and initiatives aligned with the School and University's educational philosophy and Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) standards.

·       Assist in programme accreditation, review, and continuous enhancement.

Requirements:

·       Doctoral degree or equivalent in Communication, Advertising and Branding, Media, or a closely related discipline.

·       Proven commitment to teaching excellence and student development.

·       Strong academic ability with a track record of research and scholarly output.

·       Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

·       Ability to work effectively under pressure, meet deadlines, and collaborate as a team player.

·       Demonstrated maturity and professionalism in all aspects of academic work.
