  1. Purpose of the Role

The Head of Value-Added Services (VAS) is responsible for leading the development, implementation, and management of innovative value added services to drive customer acquisition, retention, and revenue growth. This role will shape the telco's VAS strategy in line with market trends, customer needs, and corporate objectives, ensuring a competitive edge in the evolving telecommunications landscape.

  1. Key Accountabilities

  2. Develop and execute the VAS strategy to enhance customer experience, drive ARPU uplift, and reduce churn.

  3. Identify, negotiate, and manage partnerships with content and technology providers to deliver compelling products and services.
  4. Lead the end-to-end lifecycle management of VAS offerings, from conceptualization to commercialization.
  5. Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer insights to identify new opportunities for innovation.
  6. Oversee the financial performance of the VAS unit, including revenue targets, cost control, and profitability.
  7. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for all VAS offerings.
  8. Develop got market plans and coordinate with marketing, sales, and customer service teams to maximise adoption of VAS products.
  9. Provide regular performance reporting to the CEO and senior leadership team.
  10. Drive revenue growth by developing and integrating value-added services (VAS) on the app, enhancing customer engagement and stickiness.
  11. Focus on creating a seamless in-app experience that reduces churn by offering customers everything they need within the telco ecosystem.

  14. Build and mentor a high performing VAS team with strong product and commercial expertise.
  15. Contribute to corporate strategy development and participate in crossfunctional initiatives to enhance customer value propositions.
  16. Represent the company in industry forums, events, and regulatory discussions related to VAS.

  17. Education Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Telecommunications, Marketing, or related field (mandatory).

Master's degree (MBA) preferred.
