Speech Therapist

About the role

As a Speech Therapist at Little Bloomers Speech Therapy Centre, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality speech and language therapy services to children and adults in the Alor Setar, Kedah area. In this full-time position, you will work closely with our experienced team of therapists to assess, diagnose, and develop individualised treatment plans to help our clients reach their communication and swallowing goals.

What you'll be doing

1. Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify clients' speech, language, and swallowing needs
2. Developing and implementing personalised therapy plans to address a wide range of communication disorders
3. Collaborating with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to therapy
4. Monitoring client progress and adjusting treatment plans as needed
5. Maintaining detailed case notes and records in accordance with professional standards
6. Participating in team meetings and professional development activities to stay up-to-date with best practices

What we're looking for

1. A bachelor's or master's degree in Speech and Language Therapy or a related field
2. Current registration with the relevant professional body
3. At least 2 years of experience working as a speech therapist, preferably in a clinical setting
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families
5. Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to develop effective therapy plans
6. Flexibility and the ability to adapt to the unique needs of each client
7. Proficiency in both English and Bahasa Malaysia
