Job Summary:
- Maintaining industrial harmony and engagement, through good working relationship with all employees in the organization's especially all union related issues and legal containment;
- Developing a policy statement on industrial relations management that has the total support of management;
- Defining responsibilities for industrial relations management within the subsidiaries;
- Identifying resources and procedures for implementing required industrial relations management measures;
- Having planning processes and procedures in place that enable identification of potential industrial relations issues and facilitate the development of measures to minimize impacts;
- Outlining methods used to assess the capacity of subcontractors to understand and comply with their industrial relations responsibilities and Establishing procedures to review and monitor the implementation of measures which support the IR Strategy and to initiate corrective action when required;
- Preparation of Collective Agreement strategies base on market and union demand.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct and handle activities relating to Staff Discipline, Misconduct & Grievances including investigations, counselling sessions, domestic Inquiry etc;
- Maintain industrial harmony among Management and Union through monthly and quarterly meeting and any other necessary activities to retain good relationship;
- Assisting and handling matters pertaining to preparation for Collective Agreement negotiation, Bargaining, Signing Ceremony & printing of new CA;
- Coordinate communication with Unions on HR related matters/ policies involving Unionized employees;
- Create awareness/explanation on staff disciplinary matters, Collective Agreement, HR Communications etc;
- Represent Company on cases referred to IR/Labour Department, IR/Civil Court, assisting panel Solicitor with regards to the case and obtaining the mandate from the Company for settlement solutions;
- Responsible in maintaining files, data and records which are relevant to the department, especially matters relate to disciplinary management, Court's Submission and etc;
- Support MOHR's activities (function/training/forum) to retain good rapport as IR practitioner;
- To provide consultancy ie. related to industrial relations matter to Toyota dealers;
- Supporting to organize recreational and social activities for HCD members.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource - Major in Industrial Relations or related field with minimum CGPA of 3.5;
- Professional level of spoken and written English;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook;
- Good communication and interpersonal skill;
- Analytical and strategic thinking;
- Resourcefulness – Able to work independently with minimum supervision;
- Well versed with EA,IRA,Trade Union Act and any other related employment law & regulations;
- 2-3 years working experience related to manufacturing Industrial Relations matters is preferred;
- Experience in IR Unionized environment automotive industry is MUST;
- Union Collective Bargaining/Agreement for Manufacturing Industries.
