About the Role

Exciting opportunity for a hands-on IT Support Engineer to work with a leading global financial technology firm. This role combines office-floor and data-centre support, requiring solid technical ability, accurate documentation and professional communication. The engineer must be proactive, dependable and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team across multiple sites.

Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site technical support for desktops, laptops and network devices.
  • Perform installation, cabling, patching and rack/stack work in both office and data-centre environments.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, operating system and basic network issues.
  • Coordinate equipment deliveries, removals and inventory updates.
  • Log all work activities, troubleshooting steps and resolutions on the same day.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and local vendors to complete tasks efficiently and safely.
  • Support occasional evening or weekend maintenance (with prior notice and compensation).

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of hands-on IT or field-service experience.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in Windows and macOS environments.
  • Basic understanding of networking fundamentals (LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, routers/switches, SFPs).
  • Reliable, detail-oriented and disciplined with ticketing and documentation.
  • Professional communication and teamwork skills.
  • English required; Mandarin or Cantonese language ability is an advantage for smoother local coordination.
  • Physically fit to lift and move IT equipment (up to 15–20 kg).

Preferred Certifications (Optional)

  • CDCP, CCNA, JNCIA, MCSA or CompTIA Network+
  • Experience with structured cabling and patch-panel work.
