About the role

As a Production Coordinator at STF Industries Sdn Bhd, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the manufacturing operations at our state-of-the-art facility in Butterworth, Penang. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective execution of our production processes, while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and productivity.

What you'll be doing

  1. Coordinate the day-to-day activities of the production team, including monitoring work progress, troubleshooting issues, and providing guidance and support
  2. Implement and maintain production schedules to meet operational and customer targets
  3. Identify and address bottlenecks or inefficiencies in the production process, and recommend improvements to increase productivity
  4. Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, quality, and environmental regulations
  5. Provide regular performance feedback and coaching to production team members, and assist with their training and development
  6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as engineering, quality, and procurement, to resolve issues and optimize production workflows
  7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of production data, inventory, and other key metrics

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum 3 years of experience in a production coordinate role, preferably within the manufacturing.
  2. Strong understanding of production planning, scheduling, and control methodologies, as well as experience in lean production and continuous improvement initiatives
  3. Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with team members at all levels
  4. Proficient in the use of production management software and data analysis tools
  5. A team player with a strong commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence
  6. Tertiary qualification in a relevant field, such as engineering, operations management, or a related discipline
